About This Quote

It is often said that we should "tell the truth and then tell the rest of the truth and leave out the rest." This quote, however, is a bit misleading. The story that we tell ourselves determines our reality. The fact is that some things are true, while others are simply stories that we have told ourselves. It's hard to know what is true sometimes.

When you are in love with someone it makes your heart race when they are away from you but when you're with them it makes your heart leap with joy at the thought of their being in your arms. It's another story. Some things are true, while others are lies.

These aren't so much lies as they are stories. But, they are all good stories.
